The Highland LGBT Forum is organising a variety of events around the Highlands & Islands. We are holding one-day conferences for interested parties (public sector workers, schools, unions, charities, etc.). This project is being carried out thanks to grant money from Awards for All Scotland and with speakers from Stonewall Scotland, the Equality Network, Northern Constabulary, NHS Highland and Highlands & Islands Equality Forum. After successful events in Nairn in January, Fort William in February, Thurso in March and Portree in April, we will be visiting Stornoway on 24 May, then Orkney (September) and Shetland (October).

LEAP Sports and LGBT Youth Scotland are running a martial arts workshop for 13 - 25 year olds in Inverness from 7-9pm. This event is free, but places are limited. This is part of the first ever LEAP Sports Festival Fortnight.

LGBT Events in the Scottish Highlands
The Highland LGBT Forum is a group of volunteers drawn from the LGBT community. It is independent from any other organisations and aims to organise a variety of events for the local LGBT community where everyone is welcome.
This page aims to provide an informative list of events within the Highlands which may be of interest to anyone in the LGBT community (events listed here are not all organised the Forum unless stated).

- Friday 17 May: GirlZone lunch from 12.30pm - 2pm in the restaurant upstairs in Debenhams (take the lift to the very top floor in the Eastgate shopping centre, don't go to the cafe on the ground floor!). If you are new, look for the blue box or contact Joanne if you wish to be met in advance.
- Saturday 18 May: LGBT Moray group meeting at 10.30am at the Mosset Tavern in Forres. Look for a rainbow coloured bag hanging on a chair. Third Saturday of every month.
