LGBT EVENTS IN INVERNESS & HIGHLAND
The Highland LGBT Forum is a group of volunteers drawn from the LGBT community. It is independent from any other organisations and aims to organise a variety of events for the local LGBT community where everyone is welcome.
Please note that some of events listed here are not connected to or organised by Highland LGBT Forum.
This page aims to provide an informative list of events within the Highlands which may be of interest to anyone in the LGBT community.
Sunday 21 June - meeting over coffee in Starbucks at the Palace Hotel in Ness Walk, Inverness from 2.30 pm. This will offer a 'spiritual space' which will enable individuals to come together to explore issues of faith and belief. Everyone is welcome. Enquiries: 01463 237452. This will be a regular event on the third Sunday of each month.
Thursday 2 July - next meeting for the Highland Rainbow Folk group organised by Age Concern and Help the Aged in Scotland / THT. This will be 7pm at the Dunbar Centre
(Church Street, Inverness). The meeting will discuss the possible production

Saturday 4 July - GirlZone lunch from 1pm at Wetherspoons in Church Street. Look for the blue box!
Tuesday 7 July: Gay-friendly party night from 9pm at Cactus Jaks for LGBT and Friends. Free admission.
Friday 17 July - GirlZone lunch from 12.30pm - 2pm in the restaurant upstairs in Debenhams (take the lift to the very top floor in the Eastgate shopping centre, don't go to the cafe on the ground floor!)
The Swans (transgender / transvestite / transexual) is an independent group which meets at the Beaufort Hotel in Inverness on the last Thursday of the month. Check their web site for event details.
THT organises various events at its office in Waterloo Place, Inverness. These include a monthly men's evening, women's evenings, movie evening and the Pink Castle Philosophy Club.
